UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON PRESIDENT'S MEDALLION

The University of Houston honored the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Friday, May 14, with the President's Medallion during the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences' commencement ceremonies. The President's Medallion is the highest award the university president can bestow and recognizes individuals or organizations who have distinguished themselves by contributing passion, leadership, generous financial support, and service to the University of Houston.

Show Chairman of the Board Charles R. "Butch" Robinson accepted the award from University of Houston Chancellor and President Renu Khator in front of graduates, family, faculty and friends.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is a Section 501(c)(3) charity that benefits youth, supports education, and facilitates better agricultural practices through exhibitions and presentation. Since its beginning in 1932, the Show has committed more than $250 million to the youth of Texas.
